Dr. Bruce M. Firestone is the Principal behind DramatisPersonae.org Enterprise and Startup Coaching and Strategic Consulting. Dr. Firestone has successfully coached over 50 startups as well as medium and larger sized enterprises over a twenty year period. His approach can be best described as a "Learn-By-Doing" philosophy focused on entrepreneurial business models that make good business sense-- businesses that have or will develop real cash flow and real clients. Dr. Firestone also emphasizes creativity-- in finance, in marketing, in media relations, in product development, in selling.

Dr. Firestone teaches in the Faculty of Engineering and Design as well as the Eric Sprott School of Business at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. His teaching in the Sprott School and writings and research focus on bootstrap marketing, selling and finance, as well as getting the business model right. Within the School of Architecture, he emphasizes the creation of value as the key to the profession as opposed to a simple reliance and focus on the cost side of the equation.

Dr. Firestone is not only known for his teaching but also for the fact that he has been a principal in many startups so that his research is based on practical lessons learned in the field of entrepreneurship. He is perhaps best known as the Founder of the NHL's Ottawa Senators and the Corel Centre but he has also participated in many other developments and startups. Mr. Todd Jamieson, President and CEO of EnvisionOnline.ca, is an experienced and creative force in marketing and sales. With his Bachelor of Business Administration from Bishops and his experience with Small and Medium sized businesses, Mr. Jamieson knows how to make clients more successful on the revenue side of their business.

In reality, very few businesses fail because of factors other than insufficient revenues. The focus of strategic consulting is not only to scope out what businesses must do and not do, but also to assist in the implementation of the plan. Strategic consultants must then not only provide advice about what is to be done but they must also focus on the doing itself and on providing sufficient funds for the client to undertake the assignment.
