Dot Ca Counter and Dot Ca’s Available

We can use two counters—one for the number of dot ca’s registered to date and one for the number of (good) dot ca names still available. The latter counter emphasizes that the dot ca still has plenty of room for expansion relative to the dot com universe.

We can hang a counter on the CIRA HQ building similar to the doomsday clock or the debt clock—it will get national attention. People can also download the dot ca counters to their web sites which will reinforce the message: “Get a dot ca now.”

N_CA = N_CA

Where:

 N_CA  = the number of dot ca’s registered.

A_CA = N_COM - N_CA

Where:

A_CA = the number of dot ca’s still available,

N_COM  = the number of dot com’s registered,

N_CA  = the number of dot ca’s registered.

<sub>ps. Note that the number  of dot ca’s available can actually increase even if the number of dot ca’s registered increases, if the number of dot com’s increases faster than dot ca’s.
