WebsiteScoring
November 29, 2002
Add a self serve, web site survey
where people can score their own sites to generate warm leads (if they score high,
(i.e., if their web site is really poor) they need your help).
Ask questions like:
- is
your web site linked to search engines,
- if you
do a google search, what is your rank,
- how
many sites link to you (on the web it isn’t how many sites you link to but
how many that link to you that helps your ranking),
- are
all your products and services on the web,
- are
your prices on the web,
- can
people contact you from your site,
- is
your site easy to navigate,
- is
your site so busy that it takes people too long to figure it out and they
leave,
- are
you getting enough leads from your site,
- are
people leaving before they buy or reserve anything,
- how
much traffic are you getting to the site,
- is
your site complete—does it have photographs of you and your team,
- is it
linked to your press releases,
- is
there a corporate history on your site,
- is
there an interactive component on your site like a survey or newsletter,
- do you
store email addresses,
- even
if your site doesn’t have e-commerce, can they at least fill in a form to
reserve something or submit something,
- do you
have sponsors for your site,
- do you
have partners?
